CLON

About

CLON is a graphical shell for the X Window System. Like most shells, CLON can interact with the user, launch programs, and control external processes. Unlike most shells, CLON is also an alternative graphical workspace toolkit for Common Lisp.

CLON's design is inspired by GNU Emacs in many ways:

• flexible key-binding mechanism can bind keys to CLOS methods
• open "frames" on multiple displays
• minibuffer for user input
• text widget with emacs-style default keybindings

An application may either accomplish its work in Common Lisp, or by controlling external programs, or by some combination of the two methods.

Integration with stumpwm will be provided at some point.
